What parts of the book seem most believable or unbelievable? Why?

This is believable because this is based on a true story. This is kinda unbelievable because the family was eating and then the sirens went off. Once the sirens went off the family rushed to get under the table and hide because they knew something was coming. This story is just like the other book because there both about wars and bombings and how there environment wasn't safe. The book reminds me of a game I played in ELA and it was about how a kid had to run away from home because it wasn't safe for him. This is like the book im reading now because they were hiding from what was to come. And when they where under the table they heard gun firing from airplanes and bombs. The game we played was pretty hard when you had to escape from the cops and find a safe place to go. The kids have to ecapse to get to asafe zone and in the novel I read they left to America to have a better life. I have a couple questions like one example is why are these two books alike. Another question is why do they both have to leave the city's.

Do any of the characters do things you feel are wrong? Explain

Yes, I feel that ken shouldnt have left his step mum even tho she really dont care about him I think they should stick together other then separate from each other. I feel like Ken shouldve snook off the train and go find his family and run away and flea to saftey. Another thing is that I think they should fight for what they want and stop being afriad. I think they should team up with the government to stand up to the Nazi and show them that there cities is strong and not weak. I Think ken and his friends should start sneaking around and get supplies to help take out the Nazi so they dont bomb them. I think he should try and help his country and not just run. It will be a good thing to help them. If I was Ken I would run off the train and look for his mom and then find his friemds and family so they can help fight off Nazi and not just get forced to leave they should fight for what is right foray theirs. This my option on how Ken did the wrong thing and not fight.

Describe a conflict and identify it as either internal or external. Tell why you chose that lab

The conflict in the story is that There is a war. The war is WWII and how the Nazi are trying to take over. This story is external and internal for two reasons. This is external because they is a war and the Nazi are killing people and bombing them. another reason is that this is internal because ken was separated from his family and has no one but his friend. The main conflict is that the Nazi are trying to come for the people in the getto and Ken is trying to escape because they are trying to kill everyone in the town. Ken and his town should fight for what is theirs and not just run away. Why are they scared of Nazi? They are not that tough they're regular people that dislike a religion or belief. Why does the Nazi hate them so much and trying to take over there town/city. This story is external because Ken and his family are seperated from each other and that his step mom doesn't care. This is external because every one is being sperated from there friends and family's.

The part of the book that seems the most unbelievable is how ken and the people on the train didn't reach Canada. They didn't reach Canada yet because there are stopping all over. And they are on the train heading to the boat that will take them to Canada. Ken is on the boat and its a bad storm there in and there all worried and scared the water is crashing on the boat ken and his friend wont leave outside becuase ken over heard what one of the sailors said. The sailor said its Friday the 13th and they said its bad luck. Alan and Derek both think that the 13th is a good sign because its there lucky number. It was luck because they are leaving the war and leaving all there bad memories behind them. They are nervous about the air planes and "air boats" above them. Ken isnt worried because he knows all the planes and air crafts out there. He told them that the plane in the sky is no harm but that they should watch for bad ones that van harm or kill them.

My favorite character is ken so I would have a convocation about hoew he lived and how it was to travel to Canada. Hello ken im Lenny cordero and i have a few questions for you? Ken:yea sure go ahead. The questions I have for you are was it hard to leave his family at a young age. another question is when he was laeaving was it hard to find food. Was he scared to leave his family behind knowing he wont get to see them anymore. I would ask him how long did it take you to get to Canada. I would talk to him about how he did he feel during all this. What was his actions when he saw his friends and was he scared that that his family was hurt or killed was he ever scared about that or even worried. Did he even think about running back home and going to see his family. Did u ever miss your family have you cried over them. where u scared when he had to go on the boat or did you enjoy it. When the boat was getting wrecked were you scared when you had to grab your coat and you went back to the boat and it was not there and you ran to other ones and there all gone but then a guy came up to u said there one more and when he threw you in were you happy. This is how I would talk to Ken.
