Visit each station and create situations where one or more of the given objects move. Observe and take notes on what happens to the moving object(s). What affected it and why you think that happened?

We observed that when the air(force) was blowing that the leaves moved.(kinetic energy) Then when there was a stick in the path of the leaf the movement stopped. Next, there was a gust of wind and the leaf began to move again. Some of the leaves accelerated faster than others and that makes us think that the mass of some of the leaves was greater than the others, making them not move as fast.

we observed that the water moved when air was forced through the straw. The handsanitizer(liquid, too) didn't move as easily. We think this is because the thickness of the liquid. the objects that we dropped into the different liquids seemed to drop in the same way. Gravity pull it down until it hit the bottom of the container and the movement stopped.

We set up the bowling pins so that when the ball hit the pins they would move and impact the one behind it and continue the movement. Our first try did not go as planned. They stopped moving when the direction of the pins turned and did not impact the next one. We also set up the dominos to do the same thing on impact. The moved much faster and all of them moved and fell down. The stopped when there were no more to get the push or force.

team a: we observed that the cars that wen down the styrofoam ramp moved slower. I could be the friction from the surface. The larger car accelerated down the wooden ramp quickly. We think this is because of the smoothness of the ramp and be cause of the mass of the car

the slinky fell down to the table when we let go of one end. Gravity pulled in down and it stopped because of the desk made the motion stop. We tried different balls moving on different surfaces. We found that the lighter ball moved slower. The heavier ball moved quicker. We used the wooden sticks to see if the force it gave to the balls was greater or less than when we used just our hands. We need to do more tryies to make sure of the results.
