Public performances brings people together. When strangers watch the performances together they find a common interest with one another. As the saying goes, Music is a universal language. This means that people of different backgrounds and walks of life can learn to put aside their differences and enjoy the performance, showing a unified human spirit.

Public performances can offer an opportunity to help also give people a chance to show themselves to others and perform in front of a live audience. For example, watching a busker performing live can motivate an inspiring artist to do the same and overcome his or her stage fright. This can help teach people to help be less afraid of others opinions and give them confidence to share their talent with others. This can inspire others to be more confident in themselves.



Alternatively some feel that since performances don’t have any provide any benefits so some feel they are a waste of time so they don’t like performances. NO ELABORATION; Performances may seem like a waste of time and money. As a student, one should be focused on their studies and not waste our precious allowance and time on concerts or shows.

I feel that due to covid-19 many performances were moved online so more are able to appreciate the performances more. Public performances also provide a platform to bring problems and issues in society to light. For example, a theatre show about poverty can help the audience feel the pain and suffering of the poor and needy so that they will be more inclined to help those in need. In the video, it shows a sale occurring near the stage and some of the shoppers were more interested in the sale then the music playing but there were some that were standing and recording the performance . Some passerby stood there to enjoy their music and some of them stopped to take a listen. It must be very demoralizing if people are uninterested in your performance if you are performing. Personally i had a similar experience while i was performing for the school band during one of the neighborhood community events . In the video, there is a group of performers performing with what looks like ukuleles and guitars while dancing to the beat on a mini stage in a shopping mall. There aren't many is not such a large audience as most were focused on picking out clothes instead of watching the performance, however, there were some that were really engaged in the performance and i think that was what made the performers really happy. It actually means that the performance is attractive and entertaining and the audience are enticed to see such a performance or it so happens that the genre or type of performance is just their preference. A good performance should also be smooth but it doesn’t always need to be perfect. Making a small mistake sometimes really doesn’t matter but the ability to turn the mistake made to a lesson to improve striving chance is more important. For me i have performed on stage before, although our band did not performed well on stage, but what we learn during the process is enriching and valuable in our life.  therefore i have a lot of respect for people who are able to perform in front of a wide audience, and actually enjoy their time. Personally, i would rather be part of the audience as i like to watch others perform instead of performing . This could be attributed to my introvert nature. Whenever there are events that include performing up stage i would always stray away from it and pray that i will not get chosen to perform. Thus, I will show my support by being in the audience and cheering for my friends.

Firstly, performing arts serve as a purpose of distressing (DE-STRESS is different from DISTRESS; CHANGE TO STRESS-RELIEVING) to many individuals of the society. It also plays an important role of vitality in the city. I believe that a city without the beauty of arts is just a lifeless land with a few cold and lonely concrete buildings.

If the audience and performer are both not hyped, the performance will be boring. However, if the performer and audience are in sync, the performance will be more alluring. For a performance to be good, it must be able to catch the eye and hearts of people watching and grasp their attention. The stage props must be of good quality so people know they are spending their money's worth. Next,The performer must have talent. Some people go to performances because of the person, but the majority go to admire their talent. Not only must the peformance be good, but the audience must also be comfortable. The performance may take a few hours, and if thr audience are not comfortable, they may not enjoy the performance anymore. Thus, I think the physical environment and the showmanship of the performance must both be equally appealing to entertain the audience.

However, there would be a bad performance because of the lack of organisation of the event by the host. A lack of organisation may be caused by the hosts not being prepared with the materials for the events.
