         <description><![CDATA[<div><mark>Athens</mark> had a <strong>democracy </strong>the citizens&nbsp; had the power but women did not&nbsp; get to vote.&nbsp; they had a councle of 500 and they meet every day.<br><br><mark>Sparta </mark>had a <strong>oligarchy </strong>and they had a council of elders that met every day. the council of elders made all of the decisions.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><mark>Athens  </mark>depended  on trade because they lived on a harbor. Athens made coins because it made trade easier  it had Athena on one side and a owl on the other. A agora  is a place of trade.<br><br><mark>Sparta  </mark>depended on farming and when they did not have enough food they conquered other city states and used them for food. these people were called the helots. instead of coins they used iron bars because they were hard to steal.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><mark>Athens</mark>  taught boys and girls differently girls got taught by there mothers. Boys got taught by there moms until they are 6 or 7. At age 18 boys started military.<br><mark>Sparta</mark>  taught boys from age 7 military things. They  taught girls somethings about fighting so they could fight when needed. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><mark>Athens</mark> dose not considers women and slaves citizens .women were not able to chose there own husbands .  most slaves had jobs and could own money.<br><mark>Sparta</mark>  women did not wear fancy stuff. expected to be strong. slaves and women were not citizens . slaves could own money and buy there freedom. </div>]]></description>
