She is looking at me and I am thinking, what is gonna happen now? “If you do not get some exercise, you are going to have to start shopping at a pluz-size store that I don’t know.” She knows that the threat of the fat lady store is enough to break me although I try to eat only half my dinner. “We are going to weigh your food,” she says as she pats my stomach in front of the  sales  clerk.  “You know you  cannot  have  anything  that  tucks  in,  or  has  short  sleeves  or  that  has  a  belt  or  anything  that  comes  in  white  or  bright  or  pastel.” The salesclerk says, “But she is young, let her wear bright clothes.” My cousin  says,  “She is  young  and  fat,  we  do not  have  to  announce  it  to  everybody.” I’m standing there in the change room doorway, looking at my cousin look at me. 

For years I lived my life allowing people, to tell me how much I should weigh, what size I should be wearing, and how I should be dressing for my size. One day I just became so sick of being told how I should feel about my own body that I vowed to never allow someone else to make me feel bad about my body.

Pretty In Plus Movement was created 5 years ago together with a group of amazing people that shares the same mission that is to inspire confidence and celebrate curves in every size and all genders. Pretty In Plus is a "Body Positivity Movement" that equipped individuals with skills and knowledge that will assist them to go through life with confidence, self-love and inspirational attitude, behavior and character. However, even with the body positive movement, so many women and men are still hating their bodies and developing low self-esteem. Weight struggles are not only for fat people. Despite what we see on weight loss commercials or on social media. There are a myriad of women and men who are doing dangerous surgeries and injections to get the so called “Instagram Body”. You know what I am talking about. The super-sized butt and tiny waist. I think the common goal we should all have is to develop a realistic and healthy mindset about our bodies.

With 30 years trainer’s experience, I advocate and promote self-love, self-respect, self-discipline, self-motivation and self-leadership towards doing the RIGHT THING by DOING IT RIGHT.

I was born in Kuala Lumpur. I don’t have any actual hobbies as I always cooking at home for my family. Well I guess you can count the cooking as my hobby then. During the PKP, I had always woke up early in the morning to be fully prepared for an exciting day for me to work on.

I have been married for 19 years and had 3 children in my marriage life. My favourite food is Rendang Daging as I reminiscing about it when I ate with my family. My first choice of color is blue. I have 6 siblings and I was the bottom in the hierarchy (It means I’m the youngest). I’m currently staying in Wangsa Maju with my family.
