how do/should you act when your a 1 on 1 esp and not in a co-teaching? realizing its their classroom but I need to be free enough to help my student.

Lead teacher needs to respect the esp as an adult in the room in terms of including them with worksheets, handouts, as an extra set of hands to help the students. DO NOT stop an esp from helping students if the esp knows what they are doing. It undermines our role in the classroom.

My experience with ESP 's has been positive, especially when the same individual returns to the class over repeated years. The individual then becomes familiar with content so the ESP can work on other responsibilities with the students in need

Breaking down task, modifying work in the different classrooms. What does that look like for a ESP?

Making sure ESP's have access to the content being taught and materials when ESP's have small breakout groups.
