The British Parliament in 1765 & 1774 in Britain required colonist to provide housing and supplies to British soldiers based out in the American colonies. This was caused by the tensions between the British government and American colonies. the British wanted control of the people so they felt like they over powered them. This happened because the British wanted to make sure their soldiers had places to live and whatever supplies they needed. They believed that the colonists were so below the soldiers that they needed to provide for them. However the colonists saw this as another way of them being controlled which fueled their desire for independence.

The towns head acts was caused by the British Parliament in Britain in 1767. Britain wanted full control over the American colonies. Due to them controlling the colonies and making them provide for people, the colonies denied and protested against them. They wanted to do this because they wanted to generate revenue from the American colonies and have control over them. They bellied that taxing imported goods would help pay for the cost of governing the colonies. However the colonies say this unfair and declared for independence.
