This society was extremely strict when it came to laws. Everyone must obey them or were put to death. This probably helped to maintain order throughout the empire. 

2. What else would you like to know about a society in addition to its code of laws?
A legal document is one thing, I would like to know how effect this code of laws actually was.

You can learn about their social values and economy. The gender roles of the society is also something you can learn about. 

2. What else would you like to know about a society in addition to its code of laws?
I would like to know about its economy and potential illegal activity that was happening in the economy.
What people are forced to do or sometimes choose to do despite the law is revealing to the reality of people's lived experiences in a society. 
I would also want to know what it's educational opportunities were like.
