The event resulted in multiple harmful effects on all aspects of sustainable development. Firstly, it affects the environment in a way our flora and fauna habitat such as plants, soil, hills, and forests are easily destroyed by the overflowing water in a short period. It will take plenty of time to grow back all the floras and the pH level of the soil might be disrupted and become acidic which is bad for the growth of the plant. Moreover, it also leads to the imbalance of our ecosystem whereas the animals will have no places to go, the inconsistent number of production, food chain, and more. The aftermath also implies that the community cannot harvest top-quality products and need to deal with animals roaming around. As a result, the economy of Malaysia can be impeded. Furthermore, flash flood victims are physiologically and mentally affected. Some victims lose their family members, their properties, and are even traumatized by the incident. 

My personal experience is when I was 13 years old back in my hometown, Melaka, Malaysia. It was a school holiday and the weather there was unpredictable. Someday it will rain heavily, while some other day it is scorching hot. I remember how surprised I am waking up in the morning to see the amount of water in my grandma’s house! To ensure our safety, all the grandchildren were sent first to the flood help center. While waiting for the boat to rescue us, there is a small snake in the water in front of us! It was one unforgettable memory for us. It takes three days to clean grandmother's house and a lot of her properties have been damaged.

Aside from the narrow drain and unruly weather, flash floods are the outcome of climate change. According to National Geography, climate change is defined as modification temperature and generate to unstable weather. The public is the ones who live and govern the world and use natural sources to benefit from it. Therefore, it is their responsibility to ensure balance in the world. Unlikely, some selfish people commit extensive activities like open burning, littering, burning fossil fuels whereas inducing climate change.

Numerous people think the crisis is dangerous and uncontrollable yet take it lightly assuming that it's only a one-time problem. Nevertheless, one should examine the indication for the future generation as it can be a threat to civilization. If the phenomenon happens frequently, the peace of the country will be shaken. Rationally, poverty will rise because of deflation since money have no value, and people are driven to commit the crime and fight among themselves to obtain basic resources like food and clean water. The situation can become nasty as there will be a lot of corruption and unstable politic in the country itself. If the scene overgoing for a certain time, it may lead to war or destruction in the worst-case scenario. Therefore, we can see the correlation between how crucial it is to preserve our planet from climate change to avoid catastrophe. 

The solution is to start with ourselves. Start recycling instead of open burning, carpool, or using public transport rather than riding your own vehicle. Everything is possible if we strive and work together for our planet.
