Nach einer Depression erholt sich die Wirtschaft langsam wieder. Es folgen hohe Lagerbestände aufgrund geringerer Nachfrage. Die Preise sinken und es gibt kaum noch Lohnerhöhungen. Die Börsenkurse fallen ebenfalls. Es werden weniger Investitionen  getätigt.

Es folgt ein Tiefstand der Wirtschaft.
