 Since she is married 5 times she believes that having experience is the best for love and marriage. She says that since she has been married multiple times she believes that she knows what love and marriage entails. 

The wife of Bath’s Tale has been married 5 times. To defend her marriage she refers to King Solomon who had many wives. She brings him up to defend herself by saying since the King had many wives, it is okay for her to have many husbands. She makes multiple references to the bible and says that God should not punish those who make mistakes and have multiple marriages.

He says that when Chaucer, the author of the tale, wrote this when the social structure of the world was changing and he had an open mind about all the new roles and structure emerging. He also talks about how a good healthy relationship is when both parties respect each other and share the power. He really focuses on the balance of power between men and women. I agree with what he is trying to prove because I believe that men and women should not differ in power or authority because of gender.

This 6 words statement relates to the tale because this tale talks about women empowerment and talks about how women should be treated just like men. Also, it does matter about what the women looks like on the outside her intentions are what matters, and since men arent judged by their looks women shouldn't be either. The knight learns to appreciate people more for who they are and not what they look like.
