         <description><![CDATA[<div>My group and I used the area model to solve 78x54, what we did was, we put all the number around the box, like 70,8,50,4 we then multiplied 5x7 and got 35 we also added the two zero's from 50 and 70 so we got 3500, we also multiplied 5x8 and got 40 and also added a zero from 50 so we had 400, we then multiplied 4x7 and got 28 and added a zero so we had 280, then we multiplied 4x8 and got 32, so after we did all that we added all the numbers together, 3500 + 400 + 280 + 32 and got 4,212.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The strategy I used to solve this problem is the area model. First I made the box and decomposed 78 into 70 an 8. Then I decomposed 54 into 50 and 4.  I put the numbers on the top 70 and 8 I put it in the top. On the side I put 50 an 8. I multiplied 50 and 70 and I got 3500. After that I multiplied 50 and 8, I got 400. Then I multiplied 4 and 70 and got 280, after I multiplied 4 and 8 and got 32. Then I added all the products and got 4,212. That means 78 x 58 = 4,212.    :) </div>]]></description>
