The Printing Press:
Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press around 1450 AD. This meant that books could be made more easily rather than being hand written.
The Gutenberg bible is one of the most valuable book in the world 135 copies were printed on paper and 35 were printed on calf skin. 42 of these are stored in museums although only 21 one of these are complete.

Fun Fact:

One of the incomplete copy's of the Gutenberg bible was sold in the U.S.A in 1987 for 5 million dollars.

The Typewriter:
The first practical typewriter was made by an American mechanical engineer named Christopher Sholes in 1867 AD. At first the keys on a type writer were always getting stuck together so they had to move the keys around witch stopped this from happening and also meant faster type writing. An English inventor Henry Mill had thought out a similar machine in 1714, but it seems never to have gone into production.
