I think the world socially would not change that much. If anything, it would only change in the fact that people have a new talking point. It could also socially change the fact that people will more willingly use the words “quarantine”, “social distancing”, and “corona”. I think at first people will also be hesitant to go near one another. Lastly, I think the world would kind of change economically as corona has crumbled the stock market. the world will probably change for the better ie when 9/11 happened, counterterror forces were increased. Now after corona, people will be more likely to monitor diseases and stop disease spread. I have learned about three main philosophers: Kant, Baudrillard, and Nietzche. Immanuel Kant is a philosopher who discusses morality and what is moral and what is not. Kant’s thinking of what is moral is determined off an idea called the categorical imperative. What the categorical imperative talks about is how if we pretended an action was the law of nature and that everyone had to do, and a contradiction does not arise, then the action is moral. Kant also talks about how we are all agents who set and pursue ends and a violation of freedom to us agents would be the worst possible thing to happen. Baudrillard is a postmodern philosopher who discusses multiple things. One thing he talks about is the Simulacra, or the hyper real. Baudrillard talks about how media influences us and we influence the media until one day we finally created the hyper real where meaning devours itself and where information is dissuasive.
