San Jose, Tarlac City, Concepcion, the Zambales town of Botolan, and Bamban form its northern, northeastern, eastern, eastern, and western borders, respectively. The town has a level east side and a mountainous west side. The town also has hot springs and a number of freshwater lakes, including the Tambo Lake, and is also known as "The Gateway to Pinatubo Volcano." Capas is located 16 kilometers (9.9 mi) southwest of Tarlac City and 108 kilometers (67 mi) north of Manila.

Small fragments of petrified wood, fish, freshwater crabs, and other creatures can be found in a lot of the province's streams. In Concepcion, Namria and Dingding brook combine to form the two principal tributaries of the Lucong river. The original Capas was Pagbatuan where the Aetas resides before the new settlers came to the now proper town of Capas. The Aeta of Capas, Tarlac Province are among 12 to 15 million indigenous peoples in the Philippines. The Aeta community in Capas, Tarlac is being forced to give up their ancestral land. The people have been using the land for centuries and have been practicing agriculture, hunting and gathering activities on the land. The Aetas are now asking for help from other organizations because they cannot afford to lose more than what they already lost in Capas alone. They said they will never be able to recover from this loss as they don’t have enough money to buy back their ancestral land back again and even if they could buy them back, there’s no guarantee that it won't be sold again and again

The sixteenth Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) ought to be to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for the sake of sustainable development, to provide access to justice for all, and to build institutions at all levels that are effective, accountable, and inclusive. However, the aforementioned project is unfair because it encroaches on the traditional lands of the Aeta people, which would lead to the forcible relocation of those people, and it also endangers the lives of non-indigenous people and their means of subsistence.
