    1. Hygroscopic: Absorbs moisture from the air.This goes with my affinity space because this word should be known by everyone that has to replace this fluid in any vehicle
    2. Corrosion:chemical action causing something to gradually disintegrate, very common on the terminal post of a battery and its also important to know what this corrosion looks like
    3. Tune up:The process of changing all of a vehicles basic fluids. Knowing what a tune up is very important to know for a mechanic but also for a civilian because one should always know what work is being done on their vehicle
    4. Viscosity:The state of somethings thickness,knowing what this word is important to know because it can be applied to other fluids not related to mechanical terms
    5. Billet:metal with square or circle cross-sections.this is an important to know and also to know how to identify. Mostly used in race applications because of of its strength an light weight properties 
    6. Surfacing:the cleaning of a mated surface for a proper seal.this also goes with my affinity space because when removing certain parts surfacing a mating surface is crucial to remounting a part
    7. Resurfacing:removing material off of a surface so it can be reused.knowing how resurfacing works is important because a part or most commonly an engine cylinder cant be resurfaced infinitely 
    8. Viscous: sticky consistency between solid and liquid.this is important to know because knowing how fluid feels when in good vs bad can be crucial to know 
    9. Hydrophobic:tending to repel water. Often when oil is spilled hygroscopic properties are important to know because its surface can be slippery and dangerous if its a work area is affected 
  • Ignition timing: In a spark ignition internal combustion engine. Very very important to know. Only an experienced mechanic can tell when an engine needs to be adjusted timing wise

    2.     There are multiple ways to get into being a mechanic, but the easiest way is to have experience, work ethic, patience and to be certified.
    3.     In a car dealership. It is possible that professionals and newbies share a space and along with a lot of other people classified as different things and being a mechanic can be self-directed, multi faced and dynamic in a lot of other situations like when dealing with personal vehicles vs a customer's car
    4.     In this affinity space it is definitely encouraged to socialize because if you don’t know how to fix something on a car you can go to a forum and ask others with the same issues how and what they did. 
    5.     Leadership roles vary within and among portals and there are lots of different routes to status.  As a mechanic there's a lot of roles that take a lot of skill and patience and many mechanics aren't very patient and patience is especially important to have if you want to get the job done right.
    6.     This affinity space has a public audience like the car scene. Many mechanics or car people work on their cars and are very mechanically inclined.
    7.     Being a mechanic is connected to the car scene which is very social and is not media specific...on social media platforms that is
