Magnets strongly attract materials that contain iron, steel, cobalt, nickel. Magnets atrract or push away other hard magnets. This happens cause every magnets has 2 poles or 2 ends, the north pole and south pole. The noth pole attracts the south pole of other magnets but will repel the south pole and south poles attract noth poles but repels south poles.
