Players are needed to harvest resources from items around the world, so they can be able build fort-style protection from oncoming fire. All while avoiding the storm circle, which over time drains your health. It is one of the most significant shooting videos games in history and cited as one of the greatest video games ever made. It had 3D graphics (which was a huge deal at the time), networked multiplayer gameplay (another huge deal), and support for custom modifications (MOD for short). The DOOM franchise is indeed popular, with a net worth of 50 million dollars. Since the game is still pretty popular amongst other gamers, you can still be able to see DOOM on newer platforms like Xbox, PS5, even you're Nintendo Switch!</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Star Castle game that invovles obliterating a sereis of defenses orbiting a stationary turret in the center of the screen. The object of <em>Star Castle</em> is to destroy an enemy cannon which sits in the center of three concentric, rotating energy shield rings while avoiding or destroying "mines"–enemies that spawn from the core, pass through the energy rings, and then home in on the player's ship. The player-controlled spaceship can rotate, thrust forward, and fire small projectiles. The cannon's shields are composed of twelve sections each, and each section takes two hits to destroy. Once a section is breached, rings beneath it are exposed to fire.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Missile command 1980 shooter game involving launching missiles at the opponent in a cold-war-esqe setting. The player uses a trackball to defend six cities from ballistic missiles, by launching anti-ballistic missiles. The game is played by moving a cross hair across the sky background via using the trackball and with buttons to release the anti ballistic missiles at the incoming missiles. Missile command is considered one of the great classic video games from the golden age of arcade games. The game is also interesting because of its manifestation of the Cold War's effects on popular culture. The game sold for nearly 20,000 units in Japan, which was noted as a commercial success.</div>]]></description>

It sold a total of over 10,000 units which at the time was considered a hit video game. The success of tank led to the popularization of 1v1 dueling games.
