Dear class 2025, It might feel different being in a new upper level but isn’t it kind of exciting that you actually made it!! Even if your not fitting in right away it takes time and it does get better, you could try a bunch of things like socializing is one of them just try not to rush right into it. Time flies and before you know it your going to the next grade so don’t get to nervous because this is just the beginning. Make sure to get closer to your teachers so that they make it more easier on you, If your still having trouble getting used to the school then go to your favorite/closet teacher and they probably recommend you to get in a support group. Your not alone because when I was in freshman year I wasn’t doing so well, I barely knew anyone in the school so it was tough but I still tried keeping my grades up and so should you. College are going to be looking at your grades so that’ll be really important but if you join any activities in the school that would be a plus because they’ll check how good you are and you’ll probably get a scholarship so good grades plus good sportsmanship will definitely get you a scholarship. You have to keep it up for your whole high school because you can’t just keep your grades up during freshman year then the rest or high schools a flop or all that hard work would have been a waste of time.

Dear Class of 2025, Uh hi I guess. I'm Justin, your Upperclassman and well just don't be too nervous about your first year. You'll do great as long as you don't fool around. your freshmen year will be pretty calm. Small tips. Don't talk to people, like honestly just focus on your work till your lunch period cuz these teachers don't play at all. Your gonna have piles of work and have to get it all in and completed by two days. But don't get too stressed about it like take your time and do what u can. Don't be afraid to do other things too like clubs and stuff. Personally I think that the clubs can help with your rep for colleges. I can't even lie to you, The support in this school is amazing so far. The teachers all always around so it's pretty much 24/7 help. I can't even joke with y'all about this. The only reason i'm here now is because of online school like seriously. I'd be failing everything right now if I didn't do online school but y'all don't really got that cuz y'all at school on the computers and stuff but that don't mean they just gonna let y'all cheat. So take your classes seriously but you can talk to your friends and stuff just your classes are first priority. I know you all are gonna do well with this. Listen, don't be afraid to have fun and do well in class because if you ain't happy how are you gonna focus. Well i'm not really sure what else to say really so I guess that's all from me, But all of you freshmen have fun at BCAM.

Dear class of 2025, Hello i'm Sarai i was an 11th grade here at bcam when writing this and im writing to you to give you some advice for your 3 years here at bcam, My first piece of advice is to stay calm dont freak out if you don't know which class to go, which room your class is in always ask a teacher or someone in the school to help you. My second piece of advice is to always ALWAYS take little breaks from your school for example do your homework when you get home if you can and if you can take a second to eat a small snack DONT overstress yourself you're human you need to take a breather at times. My third piece of advice is to ask for help a teacher, your counselor, and if you don't want to ask them ask your friends to help you out if you need anything. Make sure you get all your school work done trust me these years of high school has been a rollercoaster i would not want to ask questions AT ALL when i would struggled but it just made my high school experience more stressful and hard. so my advice for you is to Ask for help if you are struggling in any way and always make sure to do your school work get good graded and remember to always take care of yourself mentally, emotionally.

Dear class of 2025, It may be hard starting in a completely new school with completely new peers and teachers, And it may be nerve racking having to get used to the new environment cause it was hard for me too. One thing that I can say is that having the right teachers to help me get used to it really helped me. I also know it may be harder starting a new school having being in a pandemic which wasn’t easy for any of us but one thing that I did that you shouldn’t is get distracted by school drama and try and find friends that won’t distract you more than help you(and also help them too). And if you may have trouble talking to new people try making at least one friend because unlike the movies you don’t need a large group of friends that might distract you from what’s important, which is passing your classes and not slacking off. As for learning new subjects like chemistry and geometry I would say ask for as much help as possible if you don’t understand instead not doing the work or cheating off of your friends cause in the long run none of those will help you. I hope this short letter can help some of you freshmen to be the best you can.

as a freshmen in high school, it was not a piece of cake. it was basically like slap in the neck, you had to wake up and realize this is reality. in 9th grade, ask questions, be more involved, don't be lazy, engage more with your teachers. in 9th grade you are learning yourself and your surroundings. it can tough, it can not so bad but whatever it is you have to still complete your tasks. you have to be responsible. you have be understanding. in high school communication is very important. everything may not go your way but when something is wrong with assignment you missed or misunderstood it is always great to ask the teacher. it is always great to ask around. don't just give in incomplete work or not turn in your work at all. freshman year can be the easiest and it can be the hardest. the work can very easy but the credits will not be easy if you miss class or come late. you would have to make up credits and it starts to get confusing after a while.

Dear class of 2025, I understand that you might feel scared, shy, nervous, or anxious. I was the same too, I couldn't speak to anyone, ask questions, raise my hand, or even share my answers out loud because of how nervous I was. I'm still the same way, but I've been reminded by the sweet teachers that no one is ever going to judge you for asking questions or sharing your thoughts. Please trust me when I say this, start participating more and asking questions! My grades are all really good but I was always 15 or more points off by 100 just because I rarely ever spoke. The teachers love it when you speak out loud and it gives you a good grade too. As I said, I'm still the same way and sometimes my grades aren't as high as I thought they were because I never participate. Not participating affects your grade and your reputation a lot, so don't make the same mistake I did. Please take my word for it, try and gain the courage to speak out loud and talk a lot.

Dear 9th graders, I hope that your ninth grade experience is filled with opportunities and reached goals. I know that transitioning from middle school to high school can be a little difficult, however in these trying times I know that teachers will try their best to teach the material in the most fulfilling way possible. if you do face some challenges just remember that all of your hard work will pay off in the end and frustration and mistakes mean that you are trying. if you ever need someone to talk to a good teacher to reach out to is Ms. Pope she is a 9th grade teacher and I've also talked to her when I was having a hard time. This is an important time for you and you should take every learning opportunity and your education seriously because you will regret it later on if you don't. good luck and try your hardest.

I still am I even joined a secession of counseling at the school you honestly meet some nice people there who are very kind and understanding. I honestly don’t have any good study tips really I guess if you are struggling in something it’s always good to ask for help wether it be your teacher, classmates or even a upperclassman a lot of people are willing to help when you struggle.

My advice to u is to be calm and go through the day and make some friends. start off the highschool years with good grades and no bad reports. colleges are going to be looking at your grades so u should aim for good grades. people might make mistakes but everyone is not perfect but remember to learn from your mistakes.

Dear Class of 2025 Theses past two years we had done remote learning which was a struggle for some people. This year we are finally back in person trying our best to return to normal. 9th grade is the year you should still stay focus it may not be the MOST important but you still need to pass and have good grades. Your freshmen year still can catch up with you since colleges will still look at your grades from that year. So do not fool around stay on task and get good grades so you can reach your goals . If you are struggling with something such as a new concept try asking for help ask a teacher or a classmate . Think about what you want to do next as life is moving forward .

Dear class of 2025, Covid changed all of our lives.. Wearing masks became the new normal... Entering 9th grade at this time can be very intermediating, very peculiar, very scary, and very overwhelming. BUT! I can reassure you, you are not going to die. 9th grade is not scary at all, it may be because your in a new environment, new teachers, new people, and more but it is not scary. As long as you focus on yourself, focus on your grades, and focus on your credits 9th grade will be a breeze. To further elaborate, if you stay out of drama and all that you will be superb. 9th grade is not a year to try and show off or impress others, focus on your schoolwork and you will be fine.

Dear ninth graders, Welcome to BCAM in person learning. This year will be a whole lot of crazy adjusting to be in school after what almost two year of online. However, we’re all here in case you need help, the counselors at the school were a great help during my freshman year and will be for yours as well. Focus on yourself and your grades, freshman to senior years are to be taken very seriously, especially to those who wish to go to college after high school. The school offers extra after school help for those who need it, and prep classes for regents. If you need help don’t be afraid to ask cause it’s important to understand your work. Good Luck this year.

This year is just like any other year make sure your grades up, make sure you’re not skipping class, make sure you’re doing your homework on time, make sure you’re asking a lot of questions just make sure you’re trying to pass your classes. Because when you’re applying to college they’re looking at freshman junior grades they’re not looking at 12 grade work they’re looking to see how you did from the ninth grade to 11th grade. So my advice to you If so just be on your word and ask a lot of questions.

When you're a freshman, you would most likely be nervous about being around so much people. But eventually, the feeling goes away after some time. You don't HAVE to make friends but it is definitely recommended so that you would have someone to hang out with and talk to and study with for the four years of high school. Most of the teachers would be willing to help if you ask for it, so good luck.
