" Act 4 Scene 2
(Lines 71-73)
Based on assumptions, this quote revolves around the concept of how immoral actions are often seen as normal while moral and ethical deeds are seen as dangerous and a thing to avoid, integrity becoming secondary to obtaining what the individual desires. The reason I chose this quote is because integrity has been a major trait I've seen disposed, especially when it comes to high school. With the pressures to excel, it is often tempting yet, as I say with all honesty, I still retain my level of integrity.

- Bernie Sanders running for president was a revolutionary movement in it itself. With politics, retaining morals and ethics is not a common occurrence when looking at politics. Bernie Sanders, while no longer a candidate has left his influence by staying true to his stances and not sacrificing his beliefs for the sake of presidency. The quote focuses on the vice of humankind, where we tend to praise, or at least disregard those who commit bad deeds while we commonly look downward on those who adhere to their own morals. Bernie Sanders is often portrayed as a socialist with extremist ideals, but objectively, he is abiding by his own beliefs, showing parallels with the quote and to Bernie's own approach to his short lived candidacy. This portrayal of Bernie Sanders speaks volumes when it comes to people responding to such behavior. We find those who know how to "play the system" as rather sly and clever and those who do good, as naive and ignorant to reality. This behavior of citizens displays what we honour in our nation, not integrity, but being able to work around to obtain the highest level of being self-beneficiary.

https://berniesanders.com/issues/

-There has been an ongoing issue of students, generally of higher education, getting caught cheating. There are profound reasons as to why students decide to commit this dishonest action. Many root issues of external and internal pressures to perfection, the disregard for integrity, the need to always reign on top, and overall need to succeed regardless of how one gets there are a few reasons as to why students decide to do this. This phenomena among higher educated students appropriates cheating by having the "I didn't get caught therefore I know how to really get my way through school" behavior a common trait. From forging a signature on a paper or copying a fellow classmate's homework, having not been caught equates to easy awards and beneficial results for the students engaging in cheating.
http://www.newsweek.com/why-do-students-cheat-dean-explains-334906

In recent controversial topics, the Black Lives Matter movement has sparked numerous debates. However, the sole core of the movement itself focuses on the lives that are being disposed at the convenience of white citizens who are unable to see the embedded racist and flawed justice system and overall society as a whole. Those who engage in these protests and riots are deemed as terrorists, many claiming the movement to be a terrorist group, infringing on the peace of the nation. These protesters are striving for progress for the African American community, but by their mere participation, they are labeled as terrorists, relating to the quote that those who are striving for good are often making "dangerous" decisions. Remaining silent and apathetic is seen as the most reasonable and safe choice for Americans.
http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/10/27/black-lives-matter-monday-controversy-high-school-spirit-week/
http://www.nbcnews.com/news/nbcblk/black-lives-matter-emerges-controversial-force-u-k-n648726
https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/formally-recognize-black-lives-matter-terrorist-organization

This quote can be tied with the 2016 election results. In a nation who values freedom, liberty, and justice, we have elected a president who is openly bigoted. Having Donald Trump as a president appropriates this behavior and serves as a catalyst for like minded individuals to be open about their outdated ideologies. To do something of seemingly good nature, a peaceful protest, voicing one's opinion, it provokes anger and violence. Many citizens becoming irritated or even enraged by the distaste of our new president elect. Our nation is divided with those who will sacrifice convenience in order to obtain justice and those who attempt to suppress these individuals so they will not have to listen to their distaste and disbelief at our president elect. How this ties into my quote, it shows that those who are striving to make a statement, bringing in peace, are commonly shut down and told to just accept what has happened and move on. Following the line, "...and to do good sometime accounted dangerous folly."
On numerous social medias, the divisions are evident, displaying hate crimes and prejudice behavior.

Similar to current events of the Black Lives Matter Movement, these protesters and attendees were often given a negative light, having brought seemingly unnecessary trouble. Bernie Sanders has been zealous in his fight for social reform and some extreme propositions such as eliminating college debt. These extreme ideas were not fit for the nature of the nation and by him not conforming to external desires, it ties in with the quote. While he was firm on his beliefs, it contributed to the lack of success in his candidacy. On the opposing side, to do what is deemed right is looked down upon and seen as the more absurd of the two. The significance of this quote is that it highlights this common vice of people, bringing attention to this issue. Shakespeare's intent when writing this quote, I believe, was to make a comment on this problem, making an observation on how ambition overrules integrity and morals. For me, this quote is significant in showing that there are others who are battling this same societal issue and struggle of finding these individuals who would be willing to sacrifice desires in order to retain integrity and their own morals.
