Some of the Mayan social beliefs include astronomy and rituals. Most Gods represented a form in nature, for example, Sun God, Kinih Ahous, or Maize God, Yum Kaax. The Mayans were known for their calenders and astronomical buildings. These were used during their religious rituals. Farther back, the Mayan language consisted of 27 spanish letters, and some Mayan glyphs

The Mayan script is logosyllabic combining about 550 logograms (which represent whole words) and 150 syllabograms (which represent syllables). There were also about 100 glyphs representing place names and the names of gods. About 300 glyphs were commonly used. The Mayans also grew their own food. They commonly ate corn, beans and squash. The ancient Maya are well-known for their exotic, vibrant, appearances and practice of unusual body modifications. They exploited the materials available to them in their tropical environments to manufacture colourful textiles and striking ornamentation. They produced a wide range of outfits for different occasions, including lavish dress for large public events; vibrant dance costumes; protective armour for conflicts; sporting attire; and simpler, yet no less sophisticated, clothing for everyday situations.

In the Maya Empire, in each city, the laws were the same. Laws were fair. Nearly everyone was subject to the same laws, even the lesser nobles. If you broke a law, a judge would hear your case. Evidence was provided for you and against you. You could help collect evidence that proved you were innocent, just as the other side could collect evidence to prove you were guilty. Should you be found guilty, you were punished. Punishments varied with the crime. If you were found guilty of stealing from someone, you became a captive of your victim. Sometimes the punishment was to have your hair cut very short. Until your hair grew out again, everyone who saw you knew you had committed a crime. It was very embarrassing. Murder was very rare in the Mayan city, but if it happened, the murderer could be killed or the family of the victim could choose to get free supplies and goods, or something else

The Incas commonly obtain food by farming, and sometimes trading with the other city/states. Potatoes and small grain called quinoa were commonly grows. Wealthy Incas wore clothing made from baby alpaca fur called cumbi and llawt'u, which were a series of decorative cords they wrapped around the head. Some law t'u were woven from vampire bat hair. A headdress was worn by leaders and their extended family, with each family having its own specific headdress. Men of lower rank wore plain knee-length tunics, grass shoes or sandals made from leather, headbands, and the headdress worn by their particular family. Women wore ankle length skirts, shoes made of grass and other garments constructed from llama, alpaca or vicuña wool. There were three classes of cloth used by the Inca, ayahuasca and two separate classes of gunpi. Ayahuasca, typically made from llama wool, was used to make clothing for household use. The fine-quality version of gunpi was woven from alpaca wool by men known as keepers of fine cloth, or qunpikamayuq. A higher-quality gunpi was woven by female virgins of the sun god temple using vicuña wool. The cloth had a thread count of 300 or more and was only used for garments worn by royalty or for religious ceremonies.

The Mayan and the Inca's are similar because they both have kings who come into power. They also have a giant trade system that is able to pass goods to one place to another. They both have large and robust trade options that allow them to obtain what they need. Both Mayan and Inca grew their own food. They also had a large and wide taste for clothing. Most people in both economies had different clothing for different events.

The Mayan and the Inca's were similar, but they were also different. Some differences between them were that the Mayan had more strict but fair and humble rules, yet the Inca had brutal punishment, and the Mayan gave embarrassing punishments like shaving your head. For transportation of goods, the Inca sometimes used llamas to carry items, yet the Mayans carried most by themselves. Another difference is their location. They Incas were located along present day Cuba and Peru, yet the Mayans were located in present day Costa Rica.
