- To really understand what you are reading you should look at how the author throughout the text builds up the overall idea with small details as well as the words the author uses (diction)and the order they are used in(syntax) will establish what the text means as a whole. Building up an understanding as you read each detail, seeing how the author makes everything make sense with the overall idea.
- When annotating you should point out things such as ideas, wording, or vocabulary that are appealing to you or strike certain emotion or progression in idea of the text, as well as imagery, and figurative language. Make comments or questions about these annotations and try to understand why the author included them in the text.
Q- When analyzing a text is it better to take into account a possible bias an author could have when writing a text or can that take away from understanding the author's true intentions? sometimes I feel it is easy to call someone bias without trying to understand
why they are bias and what possible events or circumstances lead to them having their biases.

ANNOTATE IS KEY. I found out that annotate any key words to any sentences that seem to pop out tells a lot. After you finish reading your text, looking back at the text and kind of looking at the words you underlined, you understand a lot more and the meaning behind the underlined portion. Another great tip would be re-reading. Usually when reading people tend just to re read something once, and pray that they understand it. Re reading does help alot and allows the mind the interperte things not noticeable the first time.
