The catchy theme song will likely be stored in your brain in your long-term memory and may be easy to recall because it's an acronym.

In this trailer of the film "The Great Gatsby", nick is the narrator throughout the movie. He's recalling his account of Gatsby and Daisy's downfall and gives his take on the American Dream. He does it so naturally and discriptively it's almost as if he links items together and the imagery makes it easier to recall.

In this scene of the movie "Inside out", Bing Bong and Joy are stuck in the pit of forgotten memories and they have to escape before they both become forgotten also. They have to sing Bing Bong's theme song in order to lift off their makeshift rocket with Bing Bong's broom. Everytime they tried to get up to the top, they'd fail. So, the only way to save Riley, Sadness, and Joy was Bing Bong having to be forgotten with the rest of Riley's past memories that she can not retrieve any longer. This refers to the brain's occasional failure to create a memory link because Riley couldn't remember the song she had already forgotten about her imaginary friend, Bing Bong. She started to experience new things and create new memories with real people she's likely to not be able to remember her imaginary friend from when she was younger.

In this video it shows Benjamins long time lover coming to see him after he had left her and his daughter. Benjamin was born with a disease that causes him to age in reverse, he was born old and would die young. This is the reason why he could not remember Daisy at such a young age. His memory was decaying and fading. The younger he became the more he was unable to retrieve memories or remeber anything about his life from his long term memory.

Proactive Interference

In this video Justin sings a duet with Ariana and forgets his lyrics. He then comes clean and says he's been previously practicing the lyrics and trying to memorize them. This is an example of proactive interferece because justin has made several songs he's had to memorize so it is likely that retriving the lyrics from his long term memory would be difficult. This means there was an interference in new learning due to previous learning of similar or related memories.

This episode of "Full House" demostrates retrograde amnesia because Michelle completely looses all long-term memories of her family due to her falling off her horse. Although she couldn't remember anything she had already knew previously before the accident, she was still able to encode new memories and experiences.

The movie is an example of anterograde amnesia because Lucy can't make short-term memories but she still has her long-term memories. She can remember her whole life up until the night of the accident that caused her brain injury. Meaning, she can't encode or store new information in her head for more than 24 hours. When she wakes up every morning she can't remember anything she did yesterday.
