Is the anger towards Desdemona from Othello justified? Explain. What would you do if you were in Othello's situation?

Although the information given to him should make him angry, he should be able to talk to his wife and Cassio about the situation and find out that Iago is lying and manipulating them. Jealousy and anger make people blind which is what happened to Othello. If I was in Othello's boots I would try to know each person's thoughts on the situation and try to get people outside of the situations opinion.

Othello’s anger towards Desdemona is not really justified because it’s based on lies and manipulation. Iago tricks Othello into believing that Desdemona is unfaithful with Cassio, but there’s no evidence. Instead of talking to her directly, Othello believes Iago and lets jealousy take over. His anger comes from feeling betrayed, but since it’s built of false information, it’s not fair to Desdemona. If I were in Othello’s situation, I’d try to communicate openly with Desdemona before jumping to conclusions. I’d also question why Iago was so eager to convince me of her unfaithfulness. Trusting your partner and getting the facts straight would be way better than acting out of jealousy.

Being upset is justified because Othello truly believes Desdemona is cheating on him with Cassio. His anger is not rational though, because he jumped to conclusions and even planned to have Cassio and Desdemona killed without talking to them first. If i was in this situation I would talk to both of them and see if everything was a misunderstanding.

The anger towards Desdemona from Othello is not truly justified because he is only upset as a result of Iago's planning and miscommunication. As a result of the combination of these two things, Othello is extremely upset when it is not necessary. If I were in Othello's situation, I would speak to Desdemona and confirm my suspicions, rather than act hastily like Othello.

Othello's anger is justified due to the information he is given as when one gets such information they often cannot think straight. Othello should know to talk to his wife though rather than jump to such sudden conclusions. If I were in the boots of Othello I would talk to Desdemona first before I come to any rash decisions.

While the Things said to him should make him angry he is not justified in his anger towards desdemona because he did not bother to talk to her first to confirm the validity of the accusations. And if I was in his shoes I would talk to desdemona before any decisions are made.

No, Othello's anger is not justified. In the first place, he shouldn't have been so easily convinced to doubt Desdemona's fidelity so soon after she defied Brabantio to be with him, and even if that had been justified, he should have spoken to her about it to hear her side of the story instead of blindly believing Iago, instead immediately hating Desdemona and ordering Cassio's death.

Othello's anger toward Desdemona is not justified in the sense that he never communicated with Desdemona beforehand. Othello's biggest flaw is trusting Iago's words too much and taking them at face value. He gets enraged over the lies Iago tells him. Instead of questioning the credibility of Iago's words about the affair, he becomes enraged with his wife despite not having any slight evidence.

The anger toward Desdemona isn't justified as Othello didn't discuss with her but rather took Iago's side without having to speak with her and knowing the full truth. If I was in Othello's situation I would talk with both Cassio and Desdemona to understand the full truth because taking one side is bad as there are more than one perspectives to a situation.

Othello's anger is justified due to the lies he was told and Iago's manipulation. Thus justifying his anger. Othello should have talked to his wife rather than jumping to a conclusion. If Othello and I switched positions I would have talked to Desdemona before I sent Iago to kill Cassio for something he didn't do.
