Industrial pollution is due to the discharges of toxic substances into water, soil and air.  The toxins discharged from the industry into the atmosphere modify the chemical composition of the atmospheric air which contains a smaller quantity of oxygen and a greater quantity of carbon dioxide with enormous damage for breathing. Around the world, hundreds of millions of tons of various chemicals are released into the atmosphere, resulting in an increase in lung diseases and cancers.
