         <title>Land Use in Carrick-on-Suir (Niamh)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1: Students could use the EPA maps to view how the town has expanded since 1990, it is evident that by examining this map they will see that land use has not changed a whole lot, only that the settlement has expanded changing surrounding agricultural land to urban land. Students could look at the problems associated with urban sprawl.<br>2: By using different WMS layers students could examine the different soil types in Carrick-on-Suir and the surrounding area. This could link closely to rivers, as they look at the influence the river has had on the soil of the area.</div>]]></description>
