In the table cloth magic experiment, we pulled the tablecloth in a down direction to yank the cloth out from under the items on the cloth. The cloth was not in motion until an unbalanced force pulled the table cloth.<br><br></div>]]></description>

This is seen in the table cloth magic activity when the table cloth was pulled but the objects on the table didn't move or barely moved at all.&nbsp; These objects were in rest so they wanted to stay resting.</div>]]></description>

This is represented in the hoop and marker activity when the hoop is pulled out from under the marker. An unbalanced force, gravity acts on the marker causing it to fall.</div>]]></description>

This is represented in the  hoop and marker activity when everything was set up and the marker was balanced on the hoop and the hoop was balanced on the jar. Nothing was moving so they had balanced forces.</div>]]></description>
