I liked the organisation and how nicely everything was structured.

There were also some very nice photos that really make us understand the setting of the story and what the slides are trying to convey

The main thing would be to clean up the slides a bit. The titles are al over the place and there is a lot of blank spaces here and there.

• I like how your slides are put together, but I think it's pretty confusing since some slides have very little words or some have too many, and I am unsure which to focus on. I think for the empty slides you should add images and for the slides with a lot of words I think its better to underline it.

There could be a bit more text on the last slides. it is a bit confusing to those who may not have access to the speaker notes.

I like the slide theme and how there are a lot of pictures to support the text.

The text its organised well and coherently.

• Instead of spending too much time on a single symbolism slide, they could have created an additional slide with images to make the presentation more engaging. Because they talked for a long time in one slide it made it a bit boring.

The one thing that challenged me the most in the novel was wondering which stop was important or not.

If you could have a conversation with Mark Twain, what would you ask him about the novel?

If I could have a conversation with Mark Twain. I would ask would be "Why he added so many stops." The reason being is due to the fact that there so many unnecessary stops in Huckle Berry Finn and there isn't soild reason on why that is the case.

What advice would you give to a future student about reading this novel.

My advice would be to read the book first then look at the book itself then after reading a chapter or so. Look at a summary or analysis of the novel. The reason why I would give this advice to make sure that the students properly read the book but also get some outside sources in order to see what others think of the book. Furthermore, casual readers of novels such as this may not be bind to read the entire book if they are not interested.

• The design of the slides seems absolutely amazing, with well-organized contents specifying the underwater part of the iceberg.

• The voice was really clear to hear.

• I hope the presentation to be a bit shorter.

I like how you gave examples showing twains purpose. It really showed us how it was applied.

Grow: I think the slide is too wordy, same as in speaker note, so it can be good idea to lessen some wordy slides, especially symbolism part.

I like How deep you guys analysis on the beliefs and morality at that period. I agree with those and we have it in our slides also

I also like the determination of the main purpose of the text. although we have it differently, I think the theme you guys introduce appears to be very consistence in the book.

I think the context is overall very good, but I suggest minimizing the advance words using in your speaker note, because it wouldn't be clearly understand without seeing those words

• I like how there is so much symbolism added, but I think they could have picked the top three to talk about to make it into two separate slides so it wouldn't feel like there is too much information in one slide.

Grow- Some slides are inconsistience when it comes to visuals and reading. Maybe add more pictures to make the presentation more engaging, and reduce some words in slides like 4, and 6.

• I like how you analyzed deeply into, but I think you can simplify some of the explanation in order to shorten the presentation.

Glow 2: Connecting the smaller topics with the bigger picture

• The images were properly used to describe the contents in the slides, helping audiences to imagine better.

• The expansion and generalization of the moral of Huck Finn to the narratives of mistreated people was impressive.

• Some slides had lacking bullet points, showing the clear emptiness

• The brand new rating system of each character's morality was really creative.

• I like how the group had a great portion of image, especially in the reflection section.

Grow 1: One area of improvement would be to put pictures of the slides while you are talking in video.

I was very amazed by the layout and decoration of the overall template, which I think it is very important on a slide show.

• There was a lot of text on slide 3, but it looked unbalanced compared to the other slides, so I think it would be better to have less text on slide 3 like the other slides.

• I like how the slides looks, but one thing that I think you can improve is to make each slides' the amount of word and picture almost the same.

• The most challenging thing that I faced in this novel was the language difficulties. This is because sometimes I took time to understand the meaning of the word and the context in order to analyze the book.

How did your approach to analyzing literature change throughout this unit?

• My approach to analyzing literature changed a lot throughout this unit because, throughout this book, I try to think about what each character and object represents which helps me to figure out the main theme of the book.

How does Huckleberry Finn connect to modern society or current events?

• Huckleberry Finn tells us the importance of gaining knowledge and understanding what happening in real life which can connect to modern society because some people in the current world easily believe false information from the internet.

My takeaway from the class is that background research is inevitable for the philological analysis of the book.

If I could talk to Mark Twain, I'd like to listen to the advice from the wise man about the current situation of polarization, and is it the freedom and liberty that he pursued.

2). The main takeaway I got was that when two people are forced to be together and go through the walks of life together. They start to understand each other a lot better and are able to see things from a different perspective in the long run. In this case, we can see how Huck and Jim are so understanding of each other and listen to each others issues and stories despite not being with each other for a long time.

3). I would say that it is very similar to the racism of today. racism is a very ongoing issue and we can see how there is a severe segregation between whites and blacks. Today, it is not as prevalent as back then today, but it still shows how such an outdated ideology can persist throughout such a wide expanse of time.

There were a few struggles while reading the book. For example, something I really did not understand was why the enslavement were considered "morally right" by society, even though it is sadistic action.

What key takeaways will you carry with you beyond this class?

The key takeaway from this novel is that what's "right" is often determined by social norms, even if it is not immoral. The evidence could be find in all over the books: such people act in heinous behavior but no one tries to stop it.

Did your perspective on morality, freedom, or race shift while reading? If so, how?

My view on morality changed throug reading the book. Before then, I thought morality is a universal concept where it cannot be changed. However, after the reading, I've noticed that what's considered as "moral" can shift depending on social norms.

conversation with Mark Twain, what would you ask him about the novel?

I would probably ask him what was his intention with Jim's character. This is because some people see Jim as a powerful symbol in humanity and other people argue that they see Jim as a racial stereotype how slaves were back then. What was your overall goal in in shaping his Journey?

• How does Huckleberry Finn connect to modern society or current events?

Huckleberry Finn connect's to modern society by highlighting stereotype's and social justice that still exists today. In the novel, it often shows how Jim is being treated unfairly compared to others ultimately because of racist beliefs which represents (stereotypes). Moreover, the novel explores social justice by questioning what is right and wrong. Huck is told that by society that helping Jim is a crime but he decided to follow his own morals instead which connects to (social justice).

What advice would you give to a future student about reading this novel?

Advice that I would give to a future student reading this novel would be to probably form your own opinion as some people see this book as a powerful message against racism while others think it has problems. Another advice I would give is to just enjoy the adventure in the novel and get to see Huck's unique way of exploring/seeing the world.

• If I were to have a conversation with Mark Twain, I would ask him that since Twain uses satire to criticize the hypocrisy in politics and religion, Does these issues have improved since his time?

How does Huckleberry Finn connect to modern society or current events?

• Twain uses satire as a way to mock the hypocrisy in religion and politics. These issues are still ongoing till this day. The use of satire criticize the hypocrisy in religion. Specifically Christianity, as people in the book claims to be good-christian, however accepting racism and slavery. This connects to modern society regarding religious hypocrisy.

What advice would you give to future students who would read this novel?

• I would advice them that as they read, think about the historical context as it was based around the 1800's. Think about the protagonist growth because it's important in the book. Lastly, don't worry about how the book is written. It's based on the southern part of the US which does sound confusing, however the more you read it, the more you'll be able to understand it.

2. Did your perspective on morality, freedom, or race shift while reading? If so, how?

   While reading this novel, my perspective on morality, freedom, and race has changed a little because at first Huck sees Jim as just a slave person, but as the story progresses they go on an adventure together to seek freedom, and he begins to see him as a true friend. This incident has changed my perspective on friendship a little.

      To future students, I would advise them to pay close attention to how each character growth as they read this novel. Huck grows a lot as a person throughout the story, and comparing his growth to the beginning of the story will make it an enjoyable read.
