Last summer, my family and I spent our holidays in Cordoba. We planned to stay one week in a cottage and some days at my aunt’s house.

After the first week in the cottage, we set out to my aunt’s place. That day, we woke up early and packed all our things. We had to cross the mountain so we got on track early. We were on our way when suddenly the car started to have some issues. A few meters further, the car broke down. We panicked because we were in the middle of nowhere. We called the emergency number. Although my dad tried to fix the car, he couldn’t. For the sake of us, a man stopped and towed our car to a restaurant that we didn't see because it was behind a sign. We arrived there around 11 am. Once there, we called the insurance and my family to tell them what had happened. The insurance company didn't want to send us a tow truck so we had to argue with them to try to come to an agreement. It was around 6 pm and we decided to take a bus to the city center and another one to my aunt’s house. We waited and waited but finally we decided to go back to the restaurant thinking that we missed the bus. But when we were again in the restaurant the waitress told us that the bus had to pass in ten minutes. So we ran all over the road to the bus stop. While we were waiting, the tow truck came. The owner of the vehicle was really nice and offered to take all of us to my aunt’s house. Finally, we started the journey around 6.30pm. The fogg made us go slower because it made the mountain a really dangerous place to drive. After struggling with the road, we got to the house around 11.30 pm. We ate and went to bed and fell asleep straight away because we were exhausted.

In summer holiday of 2018, I went to Córdoba with my parents, my sister, a friend of mine and her parents. It was the second day we were there. I had woken up earlier than usual when I realized that my dad was awake too. In fact, he was about to go on a walk, specifically to buy some things at the supermarket. He asked me if I wanted to join him. Just when we were leaving, I remembered the hotel was at the top of the mountain, which meant we had to walk all the way down on the steep mountain to get to the supermarket.
We walked, we found the supermarket and bought the stuff we needed, more specific, just ketchup and a Sprite. We were going back to the hotel, when all of a sudden it started to rain. Imagine walking up a street in the mountains and it also starts to rain!
It was a really fun and exhausting experience, a memory with my dad that we will never forget!

I was in Cancun, Mexico, in 2019. It was my first trip in a so far country as Mexico. I made such much excursion as I could, but one of them was a memorable experience.
I did one which it included to know activities for instance, going to Chichén Itzá and learn about the Mayas, eating some traditional dishes while you are watching a typical dance. I passed a great time in that travel, but I lived a fearing experience. After eating and tasting some regional food, we went and arrived in Chichén Itzá. We walked a lot to be in the landmark and enter to the place and be there. Then, the tourist guide give us an talked about Mayas´s history meanwhile we were walking and sightseeing all the statues. The speech finished when we were in the pyramid and suddenly, the tourist guide told us sth which alarm me. "We will give 1 hour to take photos and take a walk, but if your not at time into the bus, we will leave you and you will have to take a taxi to come back to Cancun." I was relaxed when I hearded it, but I was some nervous beacuse I hadn´t so much money like to pay a travel of comeback, but I was entertained by the beautiful and amazing views.
When it passed the hour, I decided to come back so I started to walk to the point where the bus was. I was walking like 15 minutes approximatelly, when I realized that I took the bad way. When I got out of the place, there was 2 ways, so I took the wrong one. As a result, I ran back and take the right way.
Finally, I arrived and there was the bus, so I started to chill out. It was a terrible experience because I was fear of not be in Cancun again that day.

“Dogs can’t fly…”

When I was 5 years old, my mother was pregnant with my younger brother (Bautista) and she thought that it would be nice to go on vacation, which did seem like a good idea… at least until everything got out of hand. Mom and dad had decided to go to the beach for the long weekend, but just that week it was very hot, so we had decided to spend some time by the sea and maybe swim a little… of course without knowing that a perfect storm was approaching.

Before leaving the apartment, my mother had opened the balcony windows to ventilate a bit, but she forgot to close them when we left. At the time we used to leave our dog at home so that it wouldn't get covered in sand... but god, what a bad idea. We were getting in the car when we saw that the dog leaned out of the balcony and barking, probably because mom was leaving and adding to the fact that she was pregnant... and like a Bolt from the blue, the dog jumped off the balcony without thinking twice.

We all got a good scare and we could hear the dog crying in pain, at least we knew he hadn't killed himself. We all got out of the car to pick him up, we had to take him to a vet urgently, but where was there one? We were there on vacation and had no idea where a vet might be. We ran like the wind and started going round and round while the dog cried to see if we were lucky enough to find one.

But thank God that after a while we found a vet. My dad, my brother and I didn't get out of the car, I was so nervous and worried… but Good things come to those who wait, right? My father says that it took an arm and a leg to heal our dog, but that was the least I was worried about. Mum also told me that the doctor had said that the dog had survived By the skin of his teeth and that if the balcony was a little higher… well, better not even think about it.

Now it doesn't make much sense because I know it was an accident, but at the time I looked at my mom very angry, because I really thought that because of her we almost lost our dog. Luckily, ignoring my accusing look, she simply answered; “Live and learn…” we never leave the balcony window open again.
