Black infants die at a higher rate in Wisconsin than in any other state in the nation. The death rate for Black mothers is nearly three times as high as for white women.
 
I would like to make a difference in those numbers by serving my community as a doula.

After witnessing and experiencing some challenges over the last few years, I’ve become more involved as a doula and learned how significant they were and still are in our communities. Becoming certified through Dona International
and helping mamas with their birthing journey are just a few examples of things to come.
I am currently working with a mom who is due in August and another in November.
