I argue that animals have evolved to survive in the wild without the help of everyday humans. For example, the bird, Birds have been doing the same thing to survive in the wild. I believe that animals shouldn't have the proper rights of a human. I think that animals shouldn't be treated like us because they have enough rights on what they can do just from the first amendment. PETA sued SeaWorld for mistreating their orcas, this isn't correct as SeaWorld didn't mistreat the animal in any way. Do you think that animals should have the same rights as humans? I don't. I believe animals should not have the same rights as humans because it will cause more problems. There are many different reasons for this!

First, we should take a look at why others think they should. People think animals should have rights because they have feelings too. They can experience pain and trauma just like we can, so they should have more rights, right? First of all, we don't know that. We aren't able to read their thoughts, as they cannot speak. We shouldn't be giving something more than they already might need!

Another reason we shouldn't give them rights is because of the amount of court cases that might arise. If we did let them have rights, multiple lawsuits can be thrown against places that keep animals in captivity, like SeaWorld, which might cause too much chaos.

We can also look at the U.S Constitution as well! Many animal rights activists tell others to take a look at the 13th Amendment, which states that slavery isn't allowed. They believe that places that keep animals in captivity are actively violating this amendment, but they never tell others to look at the start of the constitution. The beginning of the constitution says "We the people." This very clearly shows that the constitution only applies to humans!
