Encouraged by your commitment and love to the GG in your engagement and efforts in trying to understand and follow the study despite it being difficult and sometimes running late :) Also thankful for the fatherly affection shown to the GG when you cook or share your life experiences with us. Pray that your love for Gods word will never grow weary and that you will continue to grow in maturity in Christ and be passionate about sharing the gospel with the people around you. Words can't express how pround a son can be of his father persevering to understand what God has to say even when the odds are against him. This is definitely gods grace being shown to you and it flows to the whole family. From what type of family we came from to a family of holy nation , working together as living stones to achieve gods plan. In your suttle grandpa way you managed to understand and share the gospel wt people around you and that is very encouraging for me..

My prayer for you is to finish membership with a bang and become the oldest member of cerc to swear in, leaving no room for foolish slothfulness for yourself. Bu5 don't stop there, although you are soon to meet our LORD , there is still much for you to catch up and do.

Hi Uncle, I'm always amazed by how youthful you are even at 70! haha..I thank God for your transformed life shown in your keeness to come early to GG and stay all the way past midnight, just so that you can fellowship with us, play with the Oui's girls and study God's words together with us. You have exeplified for us that old age doesn't hinder us from loving God and His church better. Pray that I would be like you in this aspect when I grow old.

As the days are drawing nearer, I pray that you'll continue to live your life with the right perspective, the perspective of 1 Peter 1:13 - "Therefore, preparing your minds for action,and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ". While waiting for that time to come, continue to work harder at the scripture, be sharper in mind and persevere thru the rest of your life! Lastly, can't wait for you to swear in soon!

Hey Uncle Alfred, happy birthday to you! It’s not often that we see older people who have gone through life, struggling in many ways to keep going in light of the difficulties and struggles faced and yet, still fighting and persevering for the cause of the Gospel. This alone is truly an encouragement for me to stay faithful and press on in life. I hope and pray that you will continue to live for Christ and the church, our church here at CERC till the end.

P.S. Hope to swear in together with you uncle! Let’s not give up and continue to work hard on this so we can be members together soon!

Uncle, it’s been great having you in our GG. You are proof that no matter how old we are we should be humble and hungry for the Word of God. My prayer is for you to continue to grow in your understanding and appreciation of our calling to belong to Christ as His church. May you lead in encouraging your children and your children’s Children to remain faithful and to work hard on their Scriptures. Let’s continue to serve and build up the GG which God has sovereignly placed us in.

I guess I'm only the one who can call you Alfred because we are of the same age range. Being the elderly members of the GG has its challenges and you have certainly persevered better than me.

I didn't realise you could sing well until I heard you last Christmas and Melvin has certainly got your genes. And I hope your grandchildren will also have the same gift and use it to serve the Lord.

Taking care of your grandchildren can be quite demanding but rewarding as well. May you continue to raise them well with patience and wisdom. May you be blessed with good health and stamina to serve the Lord our God.
