First he talks with Diane and made questions and with this he tells them that it was jackie who murder Molly and she tells the reason why she killed her. Finally the inspector took jackie to the plolice car.

Diane is the youngest in the family, and supposly the favorite one, said by her in the second chapter, the real reason is that she asked for money to her mom, since she knew her mother secret (Molly killed Diane's dad), so from that we can say that she is just interested in her mother's money. Also she is not exactly the nicer one but she really didn't liked mother, she wanted to kill her but, and we can se that when she says her alibi to the inspector in chapter five, but Jackie did it first. She wasn't that young tho, she was 28, pretty thin, and medium hair.

Jackie was a very observant person and was always interested and irritated by the money that her brothers asked for to their parents, she was always smoking, she was cunning, you would think that she killed her mother for the money, but in fact it was for love unlike her brothers. Jackie liked the gardener, this appears in chapter 7. In this chapter, the detective told the truth, that causes all to be revealed "A long time ago, you knew Tom Briggs. He was the gardener here and you loved him. But your mother didn’t like him." (Chapter 7). Molly told Jackie that she did not want this love affair, since Tom Briggs (the gardener) was poor she did not allow it. Finally, Jackie hated her mother because she said that she never gave her anything.
