         <title>What is Computer Science?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Computer Science is the study of computer technology , its functionalities and capabilities. One of the primary uses of writing in the field of computer science is programming.<br><br>Programming is a necessary component of nearly every aspect of a computer interface. Without code, there would be no web pages, no interactivity, no video games, and no functionality on the computer at all. No functionality for things like smart devices or tablets or smart phones.<br><br>Personally speaking, I chose programming because I find being able to create my own programs and computer software very fun and interesting, even though at times it can be very daunting to try and find answers to fix coding errors.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There are several different methods and websites out there utilized for sharing code amongst professional programmers:<br><br><strong>GitHub</strong> - A website dedicated to storing programmers code, keeping track of changes made to a program (program history), and having your code be readily available for other programmers.<br><br><strong>Mob Programming</strong> - having multiple programmers on the same computer work on single task of a program.<br><br><strong>Code Libraries</strong> -&nbsp;A collection of pre-written functions and code snippets that can help keep the programming process very optimized and efficient.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Circulation of Different Languages</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>But how is this programming distributed to the general public? Well given that there are multiple different programming languages out there, each one with varying purposes, each coding language may be circulated differently<br><br><strong>HTML</strong> - Compared to a good number of other programming languages, HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) is the programming language used to create web pages. It is quite possibly the most widely circulated computer programming file type out there, as it is used every single time we use the internet and view a web page.<br><br><strong>C++</strong> - C++ on the other hand is capable of a variety of different uses since it was intended to be a very general-purpose programming language. It is mainly utilized for software applications, operating systems and video game development.<br><br><strong>Java</strong> - Java is also seen as a very general-purpose programming language. However, it is mainly utilized for creating both desktop and mobile applications.<br><br><strong>JavaScript</strong> - Understandably confused with Java, Javascript is mainly used for adding interactivity to web pages, as well as creating applications specifically intended for web browsers, not their own separate downloadable desktop application.<br><br><strong>Python</strong> - Python is yet another general purpose programming language, however is generally used for simpler data analysis and task automation. Python has an emphasis on easily readable code and dynamic typing. This makes Python programming much simpler to read and understand to human programmers at the expense of making it slower and less reliable for bigger projects.<br><br>These programming languages are made available for almost all types of operating systems (MacOS, Windows, Linux) thus making them very widespread and accessible.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Programming Similarities</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Labels / Keywords</strong> - Despite each language having a different style of arranging and styling its code, all four examples have a common theme of using simple keywords and symbols for labeling certain functionalities (ex. &lt;head&gt;, print(""), if() else().)<br><strong><br>Structure</strong> - The first thing to mention right off the bat is that most programming languages utilize several lines rather than one continuous line of programming. This is mainly done to make code much more manageable and readable for the programmer.<br><br>Second, most programming languages have a method of indenting lines in order to relate certain functionalities with one another (ex. in the HTML example, &lt;title&gt; and &lt;link&gt; are indented to emphasize that they are contained within &lt;head&gt;)<br><br><strong>Commenting</strong> - As mentioned earlier, most programming languages have a method to insert comments. when a section of the code is commented out, it is completely ignored by the program and thus serves no real purpose aside from documentation (ex. # for Python, &lt;!-- --&gt; for HTML, // or Java and C++)<br><br><strong>Highly Available</strong> - Luckily, most widely used programming languages (HTML, C++, Java, Python, etc.) are available on <strong>most</strong> major computer platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.). So chances are a C++ program created on Windows will still work on a Linux computer.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>How exactly do these moves help achieve the goal of coding?<br><br>Well, the main goal that all programming code is set out to do is perform a specific task on a piece of computer hardware (Hardware being all the physical components of the computer, and Software being all the applications, browsers, etc. stored on the hardware, including the users programming code). Thanks to a programs utilization of computer hardware, All computer programs are able to go through with whatever they were intended to do.<br><br>Keep in mind, each coding language is designed for different <strong>TYPE</strong> of functionality, yet all languages are designed to perform<strong> A </strong>function none the less.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Programming Differences</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Language</strong> - Each coding language example shown has there own different code words and symbols they use, just like any other regular language. And like some regular languages, some are easier to learn than others.<br><br><strong>Structure</strong> - Different languages may have some formatting similarities, but also formatting differences; Mainly to do with how each language handles indentation. This is done so that certain lines of code are nested in and relating to other lines of code, such as functions (once a function is written once, it can be reused repeatedly)<br><br><strong>Platform Preferences</strong> - While it is technically possible to code in most languages for most computer platforms, it is much easier to get running for some platforms than others.<br><br>For PC, It is almost a guarantee that most programming languages can simply be downloaded off of a languages official website. For Linux and Mac, there may be a few extra steps and downloads required in order to get it running on the system.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the grand scheme of it all, what do all programming languages have in common? And what moves are made to do so?<br><br>No matter the language, the essential functionality of code is that a long script of instructions tells the computer what to do. The computer takes these instructions typed by a programmer, and in order for the computer to actually understand the instructions and perform the task, it must first be translated into binary code (code represented by 1's and 0's).<br><br>Because at its core, everything done on a computer is controlled by binary code being processed by a computers CPU (Central Processing Unit), and that includes running code.</div>]]></description>
