After reviewing the authentic assessment sample "Job Shadow Presentation", I felt that this can be incorporated into Guidance-3, specifically within my module on Career Goal Setting and Job Searching Strategies. Incorporating an emphasis on IPC, provides students the opportunity to see the importance of this skill in their career path. This assignment also allows students to apply core principles of the course they have learned (values, career ready skills, job research strategies, etc)

In an inquiry-based learning approach for understanding the structure of an atom in an introductory chemistry course, students would begin by brainstorming questions about atomic structure. Guided by these inquiries, they would design and conduct hands-on experiments, exploring concepts like electron orbitals and particle behavior within the atom. Through data analysis, pattern recognition, and collaborative discussions, students refine their understanding, integrating experimental findings with established atomic models. The process emphasizes critical thinking, linking observations to theoretical knowledge, and concludes with reflections and presentations.

This assignment would leverage earlier course concepts to deepen their understanding of thematic storytelling and art analysis. By curating exhibits around a chosen theme, students would practice critical skills in selecting and interpreting artworks that tell a story or represent a significant concept. Such a project would enhance digital literacy through the use of web design tools, encourage creativity, and foster an appreciation for how art can convey complex narratives and cultural insights. Additionally, it would provide a platform for peer feedback, further enriching the learning experience through collaborative engagement. This innovative approach would offer a dynamic and engaging way for students to connect their narrative writing skills with visual and analytical elements.
