HDRX is feature of RED Cameras that can extend dynamic range up to six stops, while also rendering two images side by side of identical picture size and pixel resolution. The first image is generally an underexposed image, while the latter is overexposed. These image tracks are conjoined while recording leaving no gaps in time between exposures.

Unlike previous RED camera LUTs like the DRAGONColour2 - which included improvements to gamma and colour space; IPP2 overhauls the the entire processing pipeline for imagery. Benefits include a more simplified and standardized workflow, visual enhancements to existing colour schemes, tones, colors and under the hood technical improvements.

Raw Files have no video processing which means the data has to be converted into a video format to view. The  video file can be changed completely in post by fixing the iso or white balance.
