I was shocked to hear that the borders were constantly changing, it could take 8 hours just to cross the boarder, and you had to be a certain age to get through. Two other things I learned would be that their homes were smaller yet had many more people living in each one and that the people are much more family oriented there. I was shocked by how they were so different socially wise. I was shocked to hear about the different kinds of teachings they did other than what they learned in school. Two things I learned were It is a lot harder to live in Palestine than I realized and that the borders can move within minute or hours.

  1. Communities are close-knit in Palestine and they rely on each other for entertainment
  2. Palestinians are very family-oriented

Three things that shocked me is the way the borders moved, families loyalty, and how long it could take just to get through borders. Two things I learned were how dangerous it was to live there and the amount of problems families have to go through. And the way of life that went on such as how you got food, were you worked, what you did for free time. One thing I really appreciate is my home and how Im able to come home everyday to a house with a bed, bathroom, kitchen, and many more things.

Three Things That Shocked Me.

-  Prices were very inflated, i.e a doll costing 50 USD.
- It took hours to get through the border checkpoints.
- There are much more territorial disputes regarding the border than I thought there were.

- The price inflation in poorer Middle Eastern countries is very high, compared to that of wealthy Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia.
- You have to be a certain age to cross the border.
