Its odd to be questioned what I feel about the country I am
currently living in as I’ve never related myself to this country. I’ve only
thought of it as a temporary place that I would leave to a much better country.
Malaysia is an Islamic country often referred to the locals as a country with a
corrupt leader and government, I can’t deny that their influence didn’t hit me
but I believe that although the presence of this corrupt leader brings down the
country, it doesn’t convince me that the country is corrupt.

Through the six to seven years of
staying in Malaysia, I’ve only come to realize how worthwhile my time was spent
here in Penang. The culture, food and attractions are significantly addictive
and mesmerizing. I’ve been attached to the cuisine mostly which certainly
delivered a positively connoted feeling towards Malaysia, but I believe that my
attachment to the country’s culture and food doesn’t necessarily mean I am
attached to the country as a whole. Therefore, due to my disrespectful opinion
on the importance of Malaysia to me, I believe I have no ill nor any delightful
feelings towards Malaysia.

My home
country is a different matter. My feelings towards Korea is very complicated
due to the information I hear from the news, my parents and friends. Harsh
education, many suicides, narrow mindedness exists but inhumanly amazing
cuisine, fashion, technology also exists in Korea. Also due to patriotism to my
country, I would always argue Korea is the best. Although I wish that some of
the culture in Korea must change for a better society, I believe that these feelings
are generated due to my sacred attachment to Korea.

As Malaysia
doesn’t critically concern me, my feelings are generally derived from my friends
despite my private opinion on the country. Conversely, my feelings towards my
home country is mostly developed independently despite what others tell me, as
I believe I have the right to develop different opinions to my own country. My
beliefs and emotions are synchronized as what I believe creates emotions that
make me trust my beliefs to carry on my beliefs, also emotion create new
beliefs.
