At this point students will use notepad tablets to play the notation trainer game. The student can only move to the next level after showing their ability to move on. Teacher can monitor progress by checking what level the student is on. It is also private because students have their own tablet and ear plugs to practice. To show progression students can use different rhythms to create their own beat and discuss the patterns.

He/she must be prepared ahead of teaching to know what knowledge/skills the student must attain to be successful. The teacher must communicate the intended skills or knowledge the students must learn from the lesson, and what is expected of them to be successful in his/her class. The teacher needs to be familiar with the goals and what the indicates the student has successfully attained this information/knowledge.
