My name is Corita Silapan—please feel free to call me Corita.

I’m currently based in Jakarta, Indonesia, where I’ve had the privilege of living for the past 21 years. I hold a degree in Psychology from a women’s college and completed my master’s in Family Psychology and Education. My professional journey began as a therapist for children with special needs, and I’ve also worked closely with school counselors to support students’ social-emotional development and overall well-being.

Before discovering the PYP, I taught in a Montessori preschool and later worked in a Singapore-based primary school. My PYP journey began in 2007, and for the past 18 years, I’ve been fully immersed in this inspiring framework. I serve as a face-to-face workshop leader, have facilitated online workshops since 2013, and participate in IB site visits.

Outside of my professional life, I’m a proud mother of two wonderful daughters and cherish family time, especially on weekends with my husband and girls.

I’m excited to be facilitating this workshop—it’s always a joy to learn and grow alongside passionate educators from around the world. I look forward to meeting you on July 15 and beginning this meaningful journey together.
