Reason for the War: It started because of a quarrel between Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite over a golden apple with the words “for the fairest” on it. They were sent to Paris(the young prince of Troy) by Zeus and Paris gave the apple to Aphrodite in return of her making Helen, the most beautiful girl love him. But Helen’s husband and Menelaus and his even more powerful brother, Agamemnon made a huge army of Achaean leaders. After the diplomatic attempts to settle the fight early didn’t do anything, the Greek forces surrounded the city of Troy and held it under siege for a decade. Finally in the 10th year Odysseus made the Trojan Horse which brought the downfall of Troy.
