To help make their business even more popular or to to give them a stepping stone into getting them noticed if they're just starting out.

The same reason why businesses use social media, they want to grow their business and become more popular to make their money.

What is the internet used for? 
It is to social network and to help business people connect with people of similar interest as them and different. She uses a range of photographic techniques such as having a particular object as the main focus, a bit of depth of field and keeps some of her images questionable, however you still have a description on what is going on. Even though you are and audience behind a screen viewing her photos, you still feel like her portrait photos are almost speaking to you and telling their own side of the story.
