1st video - IQ tests can be verbal and nonverbal! I was interested more curious about using both of these and when to use one versus the other and if they typical provide the same answer for one person.
2nd video - IQ tests are used to find not just what category they fall under but their strengths also, and in the longer run their teachers can help accommodate them and allow them to be the most successful they can be.
3rd video - I learned they used to have everyone take an IQ test and a typical academic functional test and compare the two test scores, but that showed some red flags and was not a great option, and then this is how RTI came to be.

Not looking at the full-scale IQ scores rather digging for the information to help the student learn their way of learning. 3.Intelligence figures into some from a legal requirement perspective.
1. IQ tests are intended to measure reasoning and ability in different areas and administer tasks that are not typically done throughout a typical day. The IQ tests can also be verbal and nonverbal. 2. IQ tests help find strengths of the test taker and help teachers create accommodations that a student may need. They also help a student's realize which way they learn best such as visually or kinetically. 3. The information gathered from an IQ test can be used in an IEP meeting to help develop the best plan and the next steps that should be taken. I thought it was interesting that they used to give every student an IQ test. I don't think i've ever taken one so this was interesting to hear it wasn't really an optional thing like it is today.

After watching the video, it makes sense why they would be offered both ways, but before the video, my brain was confused on how you can give an IQ test that is non-verbal.
2. The second moment was when they said that they identify cognitive strength and cognitive weakness and they take these and create a curriculum for the students in a way they could continue to learn and not understand their own education. This is a really good way to advocate for the students as well.
3. The third moment is that cognitive tests and intelligence tests go hand in hand in helping educators determine the best accommodations in order to help their students be successful. It was nice to see how these both fit more together.
