I love soccer and table tennis. I am a diehard fan of Chelsea and Sundowns.

My goal for Cresta in 2023 is that of collaborative excellence. I believe that if it must be done, it must be excellently done. My dream is for Cresta to lead the network academically. We can achieve this by having a strong 'we can' mindset, embracing and aligning ourselves towards positivity and creating the environment that we can call our second home. 
I am a firm believer in positivity; every problem has got a solution, it lives in the mind!

I’ve always wanted to be a teacher when growing up, I’m glad I am currently living my dream. I thoroughly enjoy seeing my kids progress, it’s the best feeling knowing that I have played a role in their progress.

Although the pandemic was one of the terrible of times in human history, there was a silver lining we pushed through, worked together and persevered. Our bonds were forged through hardships and uncertainty that today makes us so strong and appreciative of each other.

My journey at SPARK Cresta started in May 2022 as a Literacy Teacher. As a first time teacher, I have to say that this has been one of my greatest learning experience(s).

I have a very expensive hobby; shopping lol.  I'm a self-taught dress-maker so during my spare time I sew. I love spending time with people who are very dear to me.  One thing a lot of people don't know about me is that i'm a very spiritual person. 

I strongly associate myself with the element 'fire' as I believe it signifies energy and passion. Similarly to fire, i'm very dynamic, strong, active, and have an innate need to express myself. I'm brave and impulsive, I'm always the first to take the initiative without thinking twice and live life with contagious enthusiasm and have a lot of grit.

Most people would describe me as an extrovert coz Im extremely loud but if you pay careful attention you'll notice that I am very private. I love reading and writing, I'm a bit too obsessed with Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. 

I really have nothing profound to say about myself, I'm just a normal person trying to make the best out of life and be happy, also I may be nicely dressed once or twice a month, it's really isn't a big deal, avoid throwing a compliment coz I most probably know haha. #Jokes

My name is Christine Lerato Ratlebyane and I am excited to be joining the team as a grade 7 Literacy teacher. 
I’ve been an assistant manager(Retail) for the past 3 years before graduating with my Bachelor of Education in senior and FET phase, however, my passion for teaching goes beyond phases. I’ve learned a lot through my experience and I would like to keep challenging myself and growing my skills. I believe my skills, qualities and strong work ethic are a great match for the school culture . 

I’m a mother to a beautiful baby boy, whom I adore so much. There are wonderful days when I feel my cup runneth over. There are days that I want to run away and question every decision I have ever made. I wouldn’t trade the rollercoaster ride for anything. Last I love watching series, actually I’m a binge-watcher. 


My 2023 Goal  is to build my
scholars confidence and take ownership of their own personal goals. I want them to remember this mantra - You are not in a competition with anyone but yourself!

I'd like to think of myself as neither an introvert or extrovert as I believe I'm capable of manifesting both types of behaviours depending on the environment and people. I laugh a lot, enjoy cooking and a big fan of K-Drama's (I've picked up and learnt quite a number of Korean words, super proud of this😃)
