But now, looking back, I realize how much things have changed. I've made some amazing friendships that I honestly didn't expect. I've met people who I can actually talk to, laugh with, and just be myself around. It's made such a huge difference in how I feel about school. When started as something scary and uncertain has turned into an experience where I feel like I belong. I'm so grateful for how much I've grown and how much these friendships have helped me through the year. It's crazy how much you can change in a few months, and I've learned that sometimes the things that seem the scariest at first can end up being the best parts of your year.

This song really connected with me because it talks about growing up. One part that means a lot is when she sings, "Share our beds like little kids," which reminds me of listening to this in the car with my childhood best friend on the way back from dance class. Back then, it was just a fun song we shared, but now that we're growing up, it feels so much deeper. It makes me think about how fast time flies and how important those memories are. This song also makes me think of the times my mother and I went through challenges but we overcame it together. Listening to "Ribs" now feels like holding on to the past while facing the future.

A quote from the Happily Ever After fireworks at Magic Kingdom really fits what I'm hoping for in my junior year:

This quote reminds me that even though one chapter closes my story is just started. I have the ability to make my dreams come true if I keep working and believe in myself.
