Washington had wants proof to new Brunswick but it was overruled by his offers.

The British to follow until ice formed. Washington’s army had lost more than half of its men to illness, desertion and enlistment expiration. Faltering morale received a badly needed boost from Thomas Paine who was serving as a volunteer aide; the stirring words of his pamphlet The crisis were read to the soldiers on Washington's orders.

Washington had hoped to strike under the cover of darkness, but the difficulties encountered in the crossing delayed the attack until about 8 a.m. on the 26th. The American advance had been spotted earlier by a Tory, who delivered a written warning to all. The colonel, however, was intent on celebrating Christmas and had stuffed the note in his pocket.

Claim: How the Americans gained victory with the Battle of Saratoga.

Example: “according to history.com battle of Saratoga” how the capturing of general John Burgoyne helped win the war
Explanation/Analysis: while moving toward an American outpost John sent two men to get some supplies at the town of Bennington Vermont to find food and horses for him and his troops then the Americans surrounded the troops and they had to surrender to them and were prisoners for the rest of the war.

Example: the Americans took away the British strength Explanation/Analysis by going into the forest the Americans took the British navy away from the troops they knew to take a group of 500 soldiers into the woods to fight the Americans so they hired some Indians to lead them through the forest while some Americans chopped trees down others took shots on the British soldiers, officers, and Indians to weaken their forces.

Example: “according to America the story of us” Washington's newest soldier Explanation/Analysis: on the frontier is where these men got their skill set they were called sharpshooters they knew the land. they used the dense bushes as cover so they can ambush the redcoats the leader of these troops was Daniel Morgan these were an elite corps of 500 riflemen. With a set of more advanced weaponry than the British, the American long rifle is what they used to kill the enemy captains by the sharpshooters these were some of the biggest parts about the sharpshooters and why they were needed.

Example : According to Spy Techniques of the Revolution, “The American Spies had many different Techniques that they used To Help The Americans Win The Revolutionary War.”
Explanation/Analysis: Some of the techniques were. “Invisible ink” where someone wrote with invisible ink which was a mixture of ferrous, sulfate, and water. They would write with this and send it to the Americans. To see what was written they would place it over a flame and you could read the message. Another technique that the spies used was masked letters. For these you would get a letter and a piece of paper with a shape cut out of it. When you places this paper on the letter you would be able to read the letter. These techniques were used so that the spies could write about the British and give the letters to the Army without the British never catching the American Spies. This let the Americans know what was happening which led them to have a step in the lead of what the British territory was like and what they were going to do.

Nathan Hale was a captain in the Continental Army. He went behind enemy troop lines to report back on the British Troop movements. Sadly Nathan Hale was captured and was executed as a spy by the British. Benjamin Tallmadge was another spy. The people who had smallpox gave pus to the ones who didn't have small pox. Because of that these people became ammune to small pox. As a result cases of small pox drooped from thousands to a few.
