I connect with romanticism. This picture reminds me of the Romantic literary genre because the literary works are about nature and our connection to it. I love nature! This picture makes me happy. It makes me want to go outside and read a nice long book.

I connect with Realism because it doesn't try to hid what really goes on in the world and the daily struggles that people have. Realism depicts what really is going on in peoples lives. Realism doesn't hid anything. I feel literature should be real and not always be clouded over with happy, unrealistic thoughts. This picture shows all the problems that people deal with in real life.

i relate more to Gothic literature more than any of the other kinds of literature. the image i choose displays a mirror of what i'm guessing to another possible world. mirrors in Gothic lit. have been known to show a darker side of you there is a story or legend that comes from i think it was an old wives tale called "bloody Mary". it is a story about a woman who was murdered in front of a mirror and her soul got trapped within it. it is said that if you say her name three times in front of a mirror she will either grant you your greatest desires or scratch your eyes out.

Amber Naqvi: I can somewhat identify with realism. The image I have chosen depicts a clear and rigid landscape that symbolizes the strict and vivid literature that resulted from realism. Looking at something as natural as a landscape can be enlightening when viewed from this realist perspective.

If the human mind expands infinitely inwards, there's got to be some dark avenues to peruse, and I love exploring them. Focusing only on the positives of life seems shortsighted, to me, and the style involved in this genre appeals to me on top of that.
