Written by: Carmen Bredeson
Illustrated by :Lindsey Cousins
Published: July 1. 2012
Targeted ages: 4 to 6
Read on: 9/25/2017

It is a book for early readers. This book is good for introducing s topic. It talks about how to identify seashells, and what they are. Seashells are the homes of little animals. There are different kinds of seashells and they have different shapes. The scallops look like wings. The Coquinas are small and look like butterflies. The slippers are like little shoes. The Conchs are big and heavy. Clams are round. The oysters are thick. Cockles are white or tan with grooves. Mussels are navy blue or black and smooth. This could be part of a lesson about things that you find in coastal areas.
