My best friend struggles with severe depression and anxiety. "Father's" side deals with drug and alcohol abuse.

My uncle had schizophrenia. My grandfather struggled with alcoholism. Many of my friends also struggle with anxiety and depression or combinations of mental illnesses. A couple of them have attempted suici*e and I am glad they are still here. If they have a mental illness, I wasn't told. I was told that one of my grandfathers had Alzheimer's before he died. But that effected my mother more than it effected me. I suspect one of my uncles has Aspergers. And one of my cousins may or may not be a self-harmer.
