We would approach teaching perspectives with a "readers theater" activity where costumes are available to the students to get into character. We would assign students different characters divided into 3 groups: The British, The Militia, and non-bias parties (farmers, native americans, reporters...) Once the students have been assigned their characters with their specific profile card they will pair up in groups of 3 including the 3 different groups represented to discuss their own character's perspectives. We will end this lesson with a group discussion on the rug where we would highlight to our students how history can be understood and viewed in many different ways.

There are always going to be a causes and effects or consequences to actions throughout history.

This can be brought into elementary education many ways, one example is by creating a web for a specific event or by introducing an input/output frame to have students think about what the different "inputs" are and then the different outputs that stem from the event.
